Our history
Trusted since 1984
1984
Ravencourt Ltd started business run from the family home part time by members of the family. The first products were analogue ammeters and voltmeters for school laboratories.
1986
The science range is expanded to include digital balances and becomes a full-time business.
1989
Still focusing on products for schools, microscopes and other test and measuring equipment are introduced.
1993
Having outgrown the home and outbuildings, Ravencourt moves to modern offices and warehouse in Oakham, Rutland.
1995
A range of easy to see wall clocks are introduced for classrooms and exam halls
1997
Easy to see clocks and watches are further developed in association with the RNIB to help visually impaired users. The export market is expanded a notable point being when Ravencourt supplying microscopes to every school in Slovenia.
1998
Ravencourt develops the first talking watches for RNIB
2000
More space required and Ravencourt moves to larger premises in Stamford, Lincolnshire. More Daily living items are developed and talking products in other languages are made
2014
Rosebud reminder clock launched
2017
Launched with Argos
2018
To facilitate growth and cope with increased palletised customer orders Ravencourt moves to their present purpose-built warehousing site just outside of Stamford. The safer walking GPS tracker App begins development.
2019
Launched In Boots
2020
Covid hits and Ravencourt provides easy to see wall clocks for the Nightingale Hospitals and PPE for care homes and workers.
2021
Pippa Tipper Launched. HUG by Laugh launch and worldwide distribution rights. Launched ecommerce platform called Story & Sons.
2025
RNIB talking hob distributed. Reduced airfreight shipments by a further 9%. Launched IDEM in the UK. Launched our sensory range to SEND and children services. Exclusive distributor for Joy for all in UK.
